FMC’s Tempest deicer is a full function, fully capable deicer, built an a heavy-duty , custom-built chassis. FMC has eliminated the high cost commercial truck chassis and drive train, by designing a simple, efficient single-engine system. Outstanding features include: Swing-out power module, dependable Optimax heater system, easy-to-operate cab mounted controls, forward mounted driver’s cab. The Tempest drives and operates like a truck-mounted deicer, but has better turning radius, enchanced operator visibility and heavy steel construction, ideally suited to handle the rugged airport operating environment. The Tempest was designed to give the customers a simple, dependable, easy to maintain, cost efficient and safe deicer, that will last for many years.
